Yesterday
was a tiring day so we slept in and got up feeling good knowing that we had two
days of relaxing ahead of us. After a
quick breakfast we headed to the main showroom where we heard the ship's travel guide
Kainoa talk about the City of Lima and what there is to see there. Val and I already have our plans made, but we did hear of some things we’d like to do if we ever get back to
Lima.
Before
going back to our room we strolled around the ship a bit checking out what was
going on. Back in our room, we looked at
the pictures we took yesterday (and there were many of them) in the Embera
Indian Village. While Val was off to her
team trivia, I finished editing the pictures for the blog from our visit to
Puerto Chiapas which I hope to publish soon.
When Val came back from trivia we went to lunch and then returned to the
room where I finished my editing.
There was
an orientation meeting this afternoon for our overland excursion to Machu
Picchu which we were looking forward to attending. We went down early and did a stroll around
the Promenade Deck and then it was time for the meeting. Hearing the details of our trip got us more
excited about going than we already are.
It is going to be a hectic and tiring trip, but it is also going to be a
lot of fun and extremely interesting.
Tonight was
a formal night in the dining room so we started getting ready and then went
down to the MIX Lounge, dinner and casino as we usually do. Tomorrow is another sea day so it should be
another relaxing day on The Statendam as we make our way south to Peru.
