Today is a
welcome sea day as we have had four port days in a row and the heat and humidity
has worn us down so we are looking forward to resting. We slept in, but were up in time for
breakfast in the Neptune Lounge. We
spent most of the morning out on our balcony, but eventually the humidity drove
us in.
Val turned
on the TV and the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was starting so we
decided to watch that. We had seen it in
the theater, but it was a good movie and we wanted to watch it again. Unfortunately, before it was over, we had to
go to lunch as Val had her trivia to go to, but we decided to go the Lido
Buffet and bring our lunch back to our room.
We missed a little bit of the movie, but we were able to see the rest of
it until the end. After the movie, Val
left for trivia and I updated the blog.
When Val
returned from trivia, it was time for a port talk on our next two ports, but
Val wanted to see the movie of the day which was “Bohemian Rhapsody” so she
went to that and I went to the port talk.
I returned to our room after the talk and read for the rest of the
afternoon. Val didn’t get back until
after 5:00 so it was soon time to get ready for our evening activities.
As always,
we went to trivia before dinner where we met Roy, Gabriella, Wally and
Nancy. We know Roy and Gabriella from a
previous cruise and we have now become friends with Wally and Nancy so our
nightly gathering of trivia is very nice (I still don’t care much for trivia,
though). We did well and tied for first
place, but lost the tie breaker. After
trivia, it was dinner and the casino. My
winning ways on my birthday continued. I didn’t win big, but I did come out
ahead and managed to play for a while.
Tomorrow our port is Buzios, Brazil.
