Inca Empire Cruise - Day 4 At Sea

Today is the first of two sea days before we reach our next port of Huatulco, Mexico.  It was a little hard getting up this morning as we lost an hour last night as we sailed southeast.

This morning at 10:00 we attended a meet and greet organized by our Cruise Critic internet roll call group.  The roll call was not nearly as active as the one on our South Pacific Cruise, but I would guess there were at least 40 people there.  After getting to know some of the people, six of the ships officers came in an introduced themselves and answered questions.  It actually turned out quite nice and we were glad we attended.

After lunch, Val went to the team trivia and I worked on pictures and the blog.  Val’s team was the winner today, congratulations to Val and the rest of the “Smarty Pants” team.  Around 3:00 we went to an interesting lecture on Cortes’s conquest of Mexico and then returned to our room to read and relax.

Tonight was the first formal night of the cruise so many people were dressed in suits and gowns for dinner.  After getting ready for dinner, we went down early again to listen to Chris in the MIX Lounge and sip our “unleaded” margaritas.  It was soon time for dinner and of course the casino after dinner, and then time to call it a night.

So far the seas have been very calm and the weather pretty mild, but it is slowly getting warmer and more humid.  It is supposed to be very hot by the time we get to Huatulco which we are not looking forward to, but certainly is not a surprise.
