After
the last week of getting ready for the trip, traveling to San Diego and
boarding the ship, it felt good to know we had a day ahead of us with nothing
to do, it’s a “sea day”.
Once
again we treated ourselves to a suite (no upgrade to the penthouse this time L) and so we had access to the
Neptune Lounge where we can get a continental breakfast if we don’t feel like a
full breakfast. Being lazy and not very
hungry, that’s what we opted for this morning.
There was a mid-morning presentation on the various ship excursions
offered on the first half of the cruise, which we decided to attend. We have already made our plans for all of the
ports, but it is always interesting to see what is offered.
We had
lunch in the Lido and then Val was off to team trivia. Val was surprised yesterday to run into one of
her trivia teammates from our South Pacific cruise so they decided to team up
again. The “Smarty Pants” trivia team is
back! While Val was at trivia, I
downloaded pictures and worked on the blog.
After
trivia, Val and I headed back to the showroom to hear a talk by our travel
guide, Kainoa, on Cabo San Lucas, our port for tomorrow. After that we stayed to listen to a lecture
on pirates of the Caribbean, how that fit in with our cruise I don’t know, but
it was interesting. We spent the rest of
the afternoon relaxing and reading until it was time for dinner.
We had another
good dinner. So far the food has been
better than on our Alaskan cruise so we hope that continues. After dinner it was off to the casino and
then at 10:00 we decided to go the late show in the showroom. Tonight it was a group called the Unexpected
Boys who did songs by the Four Seasons.
We weren’t really expecting much, but it turned out to be an
entertaining show. After the show it was
time for us to call it a night. Tomorrow
we’ll arrive at our first port, Cabo San Lucas.
