Day 19 – At Sea
Day 19 – At Sea
Today is
another relaxing day at sea that we were looking forward to. After our early rising yesterday, we slept in
today, but not too late. There was a
presentation on our next to ports by the port guide today at 10:00 that we
wanted to attend. As always, the
presentation was informative and interesting.
This cruise has been disappointing in that there have no guest lecturers
so far so these port talks are about the only lectures we have gone to.
After the
port talk, it was back to our room until lunch time. I decided I wanted pizza for lunch today, but
it didn’t sound good to Val so I ate it all myself and although I got pretty
full, I did enjoy it.
There was
no trivia today as they were holding the King Neptune Ceremony for those that
were crossing the equator for the first time.
We had crossed the equator several times before and have seen the ceremony so were not interested and returned to our
room. I needed to catch up on the blog and
Val decided to do a little reading so that was the first order of business.
Val had a
question about one of our upcoming ship excursions so we went down to the
excursion desk for that and decided to switch to another one. We spent
the rest of the afternoon relaxing and reading until it was time to get ready for
dinner. We did our usual routine of
trivia, dinner and the casino before calling it a night. We both did pretty well in the casino and Val in
particular played a long time without losing any money. Tomorrow is another sea day so we weren’t
concerned how late we went to bed.

Day 19 – At Sea
It was
three weeks ago today we left home and started on our journey. We are always surprised at how fast the time
goes by. Today was another sea day and we
took advantage of it by sleeping late and not doing much of anything all
morning.
We did
eventually start to get hungry and went up to the Lido for lunch. After lunch, Val was off to trivia and I
spent the time as usual writing the blog.
After Val returned from her trivia, we went to the showroom to hear a
port talk on several more of our future ports.
When the
port talk was finished, we headed back to the room, but unfortunately our walk
took us through the casino and we just couldn’t resist. We quickly lost some of our money for tonight
and returned to the room where we spent the rest of the afternoon reading and
relaxing until it was time for dinner.
Our evening
routine rarely varies and tonight was no exception; trivia, dinner and the
casino and back to the room. Tomorrow we
will be in Recife, Brazil.
