Day 30, At Sea
It’s
hard to believe how quickly time is going by, we have less than 20 days
left on our cruise. Last night we sailed
out of the Sea of Crete and back into the Mediterranean. The Mediterranean has been mostly very calm,
but last night we rocked and rolled a little, but that actually is pretty
pleasant when you are lying in bed. Val
slept right through it.
We had a
very leisurely morning and with the extra hour of sleep last night, we felt
very rested. We went down to the Neptune
Lounge for our morning snack and started reviewing some of our pictures while
they cleaned our room. With so many days
in ports we have fallen very far behind in looking at the pictures we have
taken; today we have finally gotten through Naples.
When we
returned to the room, I started working on the blog until it was time for
lunch. After lunch, Val was off to
trivia and I finished up with the blog.
When Val returned we relaxed and read and then we returned to the
Neptune Lounge to view more pictures.
This time we made it all the way up to Athens so we are almost caught up,
but starting tomorrow we have four port days in a row so we’ll probably fall
behind again.
After
viewing pictures, we returned to our room until it was time for
dinner. As usual, we started with trivia
and then had dinner and ended our evening in the casino where my lucky streak
of the last few days ended. After the
casino we called it a night as we have to be up early tomorrow for a tour that
starts at 8:20.
Tomorrow
we will be on the island of Malta where we will spend two days. The weather is predicted to be sunny and mild,
which we hope will be the trend for the rest of the trip.
