We slept
in this morning as we lost another hour of sleep last night, and the clock
continues to be moved forward as we travel east. We were slow starting this morning and missed
the port talk on our two stops in Norway, but it will be repeated on our room
TV so we’ll catch up on what we missed.
We wanted to look at our pictures for Greenland and the Prince Christian
Sund, but it was time for the stewards to clean our room so we took the
computer down to the Neptune Lounge and looked at pictures until lunchtime.
After
lunch Val was off to team trivia and then she thought she would go to a port
trivia put on by the future cruise planners.
She also wanted to visit the ship’s location guide to find out where
would be the best place to buy an Icelandic sweater so she had a full afternoon
planned. Meanwhile I spent the afternoon
in our room catching up on the blog and publishing the blog for our days in
Boston and the embarkation day of our cruise.
I also made the decision that I would give up on publishing the blog for
the rest of our cruise. There are too
few sea days for me to keep up and I don’t want to spend all my free time
working on the blog; after all, this is a vacation. What that means is that what I’m writing down
now won’t be published until after we get home.
We did
our know usual routine of drinks in the Crow’s Nest, dinner and the casino. We made it an early night as we will lose
another hour of sleep as the clocks will be set forward another hour and we
have to get up early for our excursion in our next port, Reykjavik, Iceland. One interesting thing that has happened in
the last few days is that it doesn’t every get dark.
The sun sets late and it stays twilight for a while and then the sky
starts to get red and the sun rises very early.
